There are different ways of looking at life and knowing the future but one question that has baffled many people is ‘what are the odds of winning the lottery?’ There are a number of factors that can alter the odds of an event but the main one is the probability of a particular number. If we were to take a group of people who had similar characteristics such as age, sex, height and complexion then what we would get is a probability table showing how likely it was for each person in the chosen group to win the lottery.
Let’s take a look at the example we started with: We will assume that there are two people who have been selected to represent the team who wants to win the lottery. The first person has been selected to be the team leader. The second person has been chosen to be the backup team leader. The second person will have to decide whether he or she wants to play the ‘blindfold’ dare or the ‘open dare’ – in other words if the first person is not going to tell them how the team is won then the second person must do so.
So if the first person tells us that they are the team leader: then the real odds of winning are: for each team member by 2 (the number of people who have decided to play the ‘blindfold dare game’ plus the number of people who have decided to play the ‘open dare game.’) Therefore the real odds of you winning the lottery are: you have a 1 in it (the number of people who have decided to play the ‘blindfold dare game’ plus the number of people who have decided to play the ‘open dare game.’)
So if the person who is the team leader now decides: that he or she does not want to play the ‘blindfold dare game’ then the real odds of their winning the lottery are: the next person is now the team leader and the ‘blindfold dare game’ has now been turned into an ‘open dare game.’ Now, if the person who is the last remaining person in the team says that he or she is not going to play the ‘blindfold dare game’ then the real odds are: the next person is now the last darer and the ‘blindfold dare game’ has been turned into an ‘open dare game.’ And so on.
The point here is that there are different numbers: and each of these different numbers has different odds. But, when we play the games that require us to select different numbers, we don’t know which of the numbers we are actually going to play with, and this can lead to all sorts of problems for us. How to find out what the real odds of you winning the lottery are can only be found by trying different numbers. This can only be done by asking the people who are involved in the games that you are involved in.
When the person who selects the next number is the blind Dare Darer: then we know that the odds of him or her winning in the game are one in one hundred. Now, if the same person said that they were not going to play the dare game, but would play the next person’s dare game, then the odds of them winning the next dare game would be one in one thousand. When we consider what are the odds, then there are so many other factors to take into consideration. For example, how many people have won the game and how many people have lost the game?
All these factors have to be taken into account to give us the true answer about what are the odds of you winning or losing.
