Pair up
Straight up is the combination of cards that are in the same suit. Pair up is the combination of cards that are in the same rank.

Let’s take an example of a blackjack hand.
The first card is an ace and the second card is a 10. Now, if you want to get a blackjack, then you can either choose the 10 or the ace. If you choose the 10, then the next card will be the 9 and you will get a blackjack. If you choose the ace, then the next card will be the 8 and you will get a blackjack.

Pair up
Pair up is the combination of cards that are in the same rank. Let’s take an example of a blackjack hand again.
The first card is a king and the second card is a 6. Now, if you want to get a blackjack, then you can either choose the 6 or the king. If you choose the 6, then the next card will be the 5 and you will get a blackjack. If you choose the king, then the next card will be the 4 and you will get a blackjack.
